Why do nutrient goals change?

I set my goals, ex 80 g/day protein. Although the goal still shows that, today on the home page it's showing 102 G protein. How do I get it to reflect my correct goals?

Did you add exercise? It would change to reflect the extra amount of calories.4

Suppose your daily nutrition goals are set to the default 50% carbs at 4 cal/g, 30% fat at 9 cal/g, and 20% protein at 4 cal/g. The app takes your daily calorie goal, divides it up by those percentages, and then computes the amount of grams you need to eat to reach the goal of for each. When you add to your available calories by recording exercise, the new calories are distributed across your macros by the same method. So they'll all be increased according to the additional cals from exercise; you're just noticing the protein.
If you've set your macro goals by grams instead of percentages, it still converts back to a percentage behind the scenes and adjusts accordingly for exercise calories.1
