Ok---I took a trip to Boston with my wife and a couple buddies. 5 days. Got back this past Wednesday. I was on a great MFP streak with logging in-but then stopped on the trip. So I'm starting over-no biggie. Here's the strange thing---I'm not gonna lie here, I binged big time. Bad food, booze. Lots of seafood-mostly lobster rolls, and bisques, a lot of chowdah! I get back home thinking I gained back my 10 lbs lost, and then some. I get on the scale at home, and it says I LOST 10 lbs??? WTF?? No way. I got on and off that scale a dozen times. Same results. Weighed myself yesterday. Same results! I'm going to weigh myself at the gym today to see what that scale says. But that's impossible, right??

We're you doing a lot of walking and activities?

Ya, we did walk a lot. And some was in crappy weather. Really long distances we used Uber. But around hotel area and Fenway etc. we walked. I can't see all that food and booze being offset by walking tho lol

Seafood might be less calories than you think. Depends on how it was put together. I pull my best losses eating shrimp crab etc. Maybe that plus walking also it's cold here. You burn more trying to get warm.

I wouldn't call enjoying your holiday a binge. A bing is uncontrollably eating a huge amount of calories in one sitting.

And you walked a bunch. You may also have been due a "whoosh". Enjoy it! And don't freak out if you get a little bounce up, it's normal.

Thanks all. It was scale shock for sure! But- clothes, especially my pants and belt fit exactly like they did before the trip. I guess that's a good sign!

Wow, you were so lucky. I found your 10 pounds with my week of eating/binge. Maybe you actually did maintenance calories but even then, how did you lose 10 lbs? What a great boost. When are you going back to Boston to drop another 10? I think I will head that way.

Lol! Believe me--I was shocked!! Between the food, and beer, I figured I gained for sure. If lobster rolls, chowder and bisque are the keys to weight loss then count me in!!

Maybe the food was offset by less snacking & More movement. Glad you had fun!

That's never happened to me, seafood or otherwise. Roll with it!
