Quick No Cook Snacks

Does any one have any ideas for snacks that are healthy, not processed and are easier to make than say a bowel of cereal?? Am I asking too much here?

I'm looking more for fresh ideas, I'm bored with my usual healthy snacks like peanut butter and apple slices, etc..

    Greek yogurt with fruit, peanut butter, honey, granola, anything really.

    Carrots and hummus.

    Microwave instant oatmeal.

    Nuts! ALmonds, cashews, peanuts, whatever you like!

    fresh veggies like celery, cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks, cucumber with a dip like hummus, bean dip, guac, tzatziki, salsa, etc

    homemade pudding made out of silken tofu. just mix silken tofu in a blender/food processor with fresh fruit, unsweetened cocoa powder, pudding mix, protein powder, etc.

    Here are a few easy, breezy snack ideas. They are all 100 calories or under :

    1. Mini PB&F: One fig Newton with 1 teaspoon peanut butter.
    2. Chocolate Banana: Half a frozen banana dipped in two squares of melted dark chocolate.
    3. Frozen grapes (any color): 1 cup (about 28 grapes), stuck in the freezer for 2+ hours.
    4. Honeyed Yogurt: ½ cup nonfat Greek yogurt with a dash of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon honey.
    5. Spiced Orange: One orange— about the size of a tennis ball— sprinkled with cinnamon.
    6. Grilled Pineapple: 2 ¼-inch thick pineapple rounds (about 1 cup), grilled (or sautéed) for two minutes or until golden.
    7. Berries n’ Cream: 1 cup blueberries with 2 tablespoons whipped topping.

    Almonds! 160 calories for 1oz (bout 25-35 in my bags usually)...

    Jerky, home made without sugared sauces is often as low as 50cal/oz (depending on cut) and is a favorite of mine as well and you can get good jerky if you're careful online (but it's not most commercial brands, but its cake easy to make yourself.)

    Greek Yogurt + Berries (Get: 1g of skim milk, heat to 180 degrees, pour back in jug, stick a tablespoon of any active culture yogurt in it and shake it up for a minute, put it in your oven near the light at the back corner, wrapped in a towel... 24h later, drain the whey off, mix it up, toss it in the fridge, and you've got tasty tasty low cal greek yogurt.) Mix with any type of berries or fruit you like, it helps if you put a tiny bit of vanilla bean or vanilla extract in it though for flavor (berries supply plenty of sweetness.)

    Dark Chocolate... I love me some 85% cacao.

    Home made apple sauce is god like. Add cinnamon if that's your thing.

    If you know how to dehydrate ( if not: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLCmxKs4oXU ) dried fruit! Usually just a dash of lemon and drying keeps it for far longer than it will take you to eat it... banana, apple, grapes, etc... Puree fruit and pour it onto a wax paper sheet and you can have fruit roll ups that are GOOD for you.

    (Mind: these are generally not cook per-say, but they do require prep and some time... but not when you need them and can be made ahead and stored for ages)

    42. Guacamole stuffed Egg Whites: Halve a hardboiled egg, remove yolk, and stuff the empty space with 2 tablespoons guacamole (avocado, lime, cilantro and salt).
