Hi everyone,
My name is Rosa and I am 60 years old. I hope I am in the right place. I have fought my weight all of my life I suppose. I have pictures of me at age two with rollynpolly arms and knees. It was so cute when I was two, not so much at 60. I am 5'2 and have weighed between 160 and 170 since I was in My late 20's. Before then I had managed to keep my weight under 130 because I ran two or three miles a day. Then I had two children and I lost the desire to exercise that much. After I was 40 I started walking 2 miles a day and then started doing 5k (3.1 miles) about 5 years ago. I have never felt that my weight was a result of inactivity, but my eating habits are sucky.
So I am working on my desire to eat healthy. Desire leads to action and I am in the action phase. This is only the 4th day on my action phase but I have to admit it is more consecutive days than I have had in a few years.
My changes for the month of April are
Get ready for the next 5K. Which means working on my speed.
No Cokes including Diet Cokes.
Keep packaged foods (food you eat directly out of a package, chips, cookies....) to a minimum.
And to remember... I can do this one hour at a time, one meal at a time, one day at a time.
