Clothes fitting better...?

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon: you lose weight, certain clothes feel better, but that one item of clothing you want to fit bitter just seems as tight as ever?
I have a pair of jeans that has always fit--at my heaviest and currently at my lighter weight self. Certain shirts really seem to have opened up and pants that used to feel snug now feel looser. But there is one pair of jeans that feels as tight as ever.
I don't feel bad about it, more so just perplexed. Any thoughts?

I found that fat does not come off evenly nor where you want it to come off first. I had one pair of chinos that seemed to take longer to loosen up. Not unusual keep at it.3

YES. Actually, when I first started losing weight, there was this one pair of pants. They were brand-new and didn't fit and I had planned to return them but forgot, and when I found them in my closet (past the return date) I was determined to get into them.
And I did, sort of. Now, the waist is actually too big, but the calves are STILL too tight. It's never going to happen, and that damned pair of pants just sits there in the closet, mocking me. I blame the designer - not my legs.8 -
I've gone straight through "fitting better" to "way too kitten loose" on pretty much all my pants at this point. I can't even just cinch my belt tighter because the waistline bunches up and it looks awful. Even all the pants that were too snug last year.
By the time that last pair fits perfectly, the same may be true for you with all the rest of your pants.3 -
I'd say those pants were probably just made smaller/tighter from the start so they still do not fit you.
I have a pair of pants that I think truly are just cut pretty small compared to other pants of the same labeled size because it should be the right size. I can get them on but can not wear them a whole day. It is a different brand that I had never bought before or since so I don't know if it is the whole brand/style or just that pair being off.0 -
Thank you everyone! I appreciate the reaffirming that yes, it is okay for one or two items of clothing to not fit better where as others do. It makes me feel not so crazy
Since on the topic, does anyone have a good story or even pictures of an item which did not fit them and now fits very well? I have this one pair of designer pants (obviously not from my original post), which were snug but did fit when I got them. They were mail order and a pain to return so I held onto them, thinking that if I lost weight they would look better. Well, now I have to wear with a belt due to them otherwise falling off! If I keep up my trend they will eventually be too big!0 -
Yes!! I have a pair of crop pants, I refer to it as my weight loss pants. I have lost 15lbs and it still doesn't fit comfortably because of my hips. I'm very pear shape and my waist is small. When I can comfortably fit into those pants then I have really lost significant weight however the waist will be too big by then.1

My waist and bust and face seem to be where mines is going my tops have gone down, 1 pair of jeans have but others i have in a smaller size just wont go on just now and i am determined they will fit!1

I had that, but I think it's just brand variability. I had three pairs of pants that were supposedly the same size. Two fit great after the first 10 pounds, but it took about 7 more before the third pair wasn't snug anymore. So annoying.1

I agree all shops are different im one size in one store another in a different store0

I had a shirt that fit worse. It had a beautiful embroidered pattern on the front, but now that my boobs have shrunk, the shirt just kind of sags. Due to the embroidery it has more weight on the front than the average shirt, and not as much "give."
I ended up giving it to Goodwill because it's still in good condition and I figure SOMEONE should enjoy it.1 -
