Hey all! My fiancé and I are headed to visit family over the easter weekend! We end up spending about 4-5 hours on the road to get there, and I usually pack some food to save money. My go to is usually a healthy wrap and then the usual carrots, turkey pepperoni and crackers. I'm looking for more ideas for foods that are yummy and satisfying so we won't turn to the drive thru! All suggestions and help are appreciated. Thanks babes!

4-5 hr isn't too long. If you are a snacker try expanding your veg and fruit selection, pre packaging some nuts and seeds, including a couple of protein/energy/granola bars, some packs of jerky, and a couple of bottles of water.

Sorry I am the last person to give help with this as I do a 5 hr trip about once a month and just take water and coffee.

    Cheers, h.

I would do the same! I'd eat before I left and wait til I got there.

If I had to take anything itd just be something like Vegie sticks, dip and a couple of hb eggs.

hard boiled eggs with your favorite seasoning or sauce. I'm partial to Sriracha sauce on my eggs. For a trip of that length you dont' need to worry about keeping them cold.

    String cheese
    lunch meat
    make your own subs
    fruit
    yogurt
    popcorn
