Very discouraged. Only about .8 a pound in the last week. Could the fact I'm lifting heavier make a difference. I've been hungry but working out or walking at least an hour a day and set my calories at 1390.

Yes, lifting can be the difference, extra water retention. Don't let one week discourage you. Just keep doing what your doing and you will see the difference. The scale is a nasty *kitten*, ignore her and just keep doing!

My arms seem to be larger but I am wearing and sitting down in a size 6 skirt and it's not cutting in on my stomach. Still loose on it. I just want to get under that one fifty. I'm at 150.6

    I'm sure you are fine.

I have injuries that have kept me from exercising, so I'm losing based on diet alone without the complexity overlay of water retention from muscle demands.

Due to plateaus and whooshes, this week I lost 3.6 lbs. Last week I lost 0.4 lbs, with no significant differences between weeks in terms of intake. In the past 62 days I lost 23 lbs (I weigh >200 lbs so on a % basis this isn't too impressive).

My point is to remind you what you already know--this process proceeds irregularly, but over the longer term it does proceed.

To quote a 1970's TV show, "patience, grasshopper..." (I should tape that to my refrigerator)

When I started lifting weights the last time I was doing righ tby myself I found I got to a place where I was putting on muscle faster than I was losing pounds. I actually went down two pants sizes and gained about 10 pounds over the course of a couple months.

If losing .8 lbs in a week is discouraging, your expectations are unreasonable.
