Parmesan Kale Chips

INGREDIENTS
2 cups kale, no stems, pulled apart into "potato-chip-sized" pieces
1 tablespoon dried, grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
DIRECTIONS
1) Preheat oven to 300.
2) Put kale leaves in bowl and pour olive oil over them.
3) Mix up so that all kale leaves are saturated.
4) Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over leaves.
5) Mix up so that all leaves are evenly coated in Parmesan cheese.
6) Bake on a parchment-paper-lined baking sheet for 20 minutes.
(Tip: on the baking sheet, flatten out the kale leaves as much as you can.)

i followed pretty much the same recipe except i traded the kale for brussel sprouts and made brussel sprout chips. so delicious. a little crunch and very tasty. I encourage you guys to try it0

try real grated imported tuscan/rome pecorino in place of the parmesan-reggiano, I think the pecorino has bolder more complex flavor imo.
but I do like the idea of kale chips!0 -
I will be shopping for some higher quality cheese. This was more a pantry-throw-together creation I made yesterday.0

I needed to use up some kale before it went bad so I did a search and made this recipe today. It was my first time eating kale chips and I have to say they were really, really good. I followed the recipe but I added just a sprinkle of garlic powder to the finished chips.
I did experience some unevenness in the chips. Some of them crisped quicker than others. I just took out the crispy ones and continued cooking the rest with the oven off.
Looking forward to trying other recipes and putting my own spin on them. Thanks for the recipe.0 -

Hey Rebekah - try adding a sprinkle of garlic powder before putting them in the oven. I did that yesterday and it turned out even better.1
