Been trying to do this for years...

Hi everyone. I've had MFP forever, would use it, then stop, then use it, then stop. I've been trying to lose weight for years. Believe it or not, I used to be 135 lbs, running 2-5 miles a day, swimming a mile in the morning, and training MMA. Then my mom got ill, (my best friend), and everything went downhill after that. She passed away and I did not take it very well at all. Things are better now, but I still have a lot of insecurities and issues with self esteem. I want to be healthy as I'm nearing 30 and feel it's time to get out of my food rut here. I don't feel young even though I'm 28. My dear husband of course gets the bad from my insecurities and he doesn't deserve them. I just want to be healthier physically and mentally. So I'm trying to work on me. I'm a carb lover. Pasta, rice, bread...so good. And I have a big sweet tooth for cookies and ice-cream. I wish you all the luck. I'm hoping by being more involved with MFP this time, that I'll stay on track a bit more.
