Does anyone else sweat a lot more after bulking?

Hi,

I've been lifting on and off for a few years, but taking it a bit more seriously in the last few months. Started to put on an awful lot of size around my chest, arms and shoulders.

One thing I have noticed since bulking is that I sweat a lot more. I sweat a lot when I work out but that's not what I'm referring to - I mean just when I'm sat at my desk or sat at home doing nothing.

It's mostly under my pits - I've never had problems before but now I get really, really bad sweat patches every day, even in my nice cool air conditioned office. It's becoming embarrassing, people at work have started to take the mention it.

I've started using a stronger antiperspirant and it helped a little but not much.

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Could it be down to carrying more muscle weight?

Or a side effect of a supplement (I'm taking creatine and protein shakes)?

I'm carrying a fair bit of body fat at the moment - perhaps if I shed some of that it would help cool me off?

Any ideas at all?

Cheers - David

    Dude bump too.

I actually have noticed this exact same problem.

I have never been a person who sweated very much but now that I've started boxing/kickboxing I can't stop sweating. Even while sitting at the computer typing this I am literally sweating.

I was thinking about asking about this but searched and found that you had just asked that too.

I'm a chick, but I've noticed this also. It's not when I'm just sitting at my desk at work, but if I'm outside doing whatever (like walking around a fair, yard work, etc.) if I start sweating just a little but it'll automatically be my armpits. I've never had this problem ever in my life until I started lifting seriously.

Increased body fat will heat you up. Eating more will heat you up. Increased muscle mass will heat you up. Body regeneration will heat you up.

You have everything going full speed, so yeah.
