Okay y'all I need some input: if I haven't worked out (i strength train/lift heavy) in about a week should I consider this last weeks weight loss as muscle loss? How fast does one lose muscle when they stop training (still eating at deficit and hitting macros)? I ask because I don't know if I should track this or wait until after I start training again this weekend.

You don't lose muscle that fast. You have fat stores and glycogen.1

I've read on this site that muscle loss is 2/5 and fat loss is 3/5 of every pound lost in the absence of progressive overload lifting.0

It actually takes quite a bit of effort to lose muscle (unless you're some competitive bodybuilder). For people in general population, you'd have to be eating well under your protein intake and on a pretty extreme calorie deficit to do it.
