I know people will say they are fat fasting when they eat just fat. It does not provoke an insulin response unless you eat a great deal. Something like coconut oil in coffe would be considered a fat fast.... This is just my interpretation though.

In that light, a fat fast could be 100% fat, 0 carbs and zero protein. ;)

I do IF with just fat (up to a couple hundred calories) until mid afternoon on most days.

I've always read it as 1000 calories, 90% fat

    I read off of https://ketodietapp.com/Blog/post/2014/08/14/Complete-Guide-to-Fat-Fast

"Fat Fast is a type of fasting often recommended for those who are already keto-adapted and reach a weight loss plateau. The idea is that you eat about 80-90% of your calories from fat while keeping your calorie intake low, up to 1000-1200 kcal a day. This fast should be followed for no more than 3-5 days."

    Hope this helps!

If I plateau I do a 48 hour fast and it works every time. I am always down for different things though. Thanks for sharing!
