Alta HR or Charge 2 Which is better?

I am really wanting to get a fitbit. I need that extra motivation, and I would like to keep track of my daily activity, plus my more strenuous hobbies, and then exercise. They both seem really good, with the Charge 2 having a smattering of extra features.

I am also quite small in the wrists, so I don't know if that matters.
6.5" circumference
3.5" diameter

I was debating between the two as well...I chatted with Fitbit and they recommended the Charge 2. As I was shopping for the best deal, return policy, etc I noticed that pretty much everybody who sells these offers a 30 day return window EXCEPT for Nordstrom who has an unlimited return policy (well, not unlimited but their policy does state that there is no time frame returns have to be completed by). I found this deal online from a dealer who I was not familiar with selling the Charge 2 for $95 shipped. I chatted with Nordy's and they agreed to price match them! I got my Charge 2 for $95 shipped from Nordstrom's! This was the best all around deal I could find for it...just a heads up if you decide to get the Charge 2

I have the Alta (non HR), it has been great and definitely motivates me every single day! I have average size wrists and the small band fits me, there are plenty of holes in the strap that would fit the smallest of wrists.

The charge 2 and AltaHR look good, but i am dubious on the calories HR monitoring gives... My only exercise is step based, so the regular Alta works perfectly for me.

Depends on what you want for style and functionality. Alta is more bracelet-like and has slightly less functionality. The Charge is more fitness bandy and has more exercise-related options.

I have the original Charge HR, so I can't really weigh in about the features of the newer models. I just wanted to let you know that I have a 6.25-inch (circumference) wrist and their standard small bands fit me fine. I still have 5 more holes I could tighten to on the stock Charge HR band!
