Am I right in the assumption that when tracking calories for example in my fitness pal that you weigh each raw ingredient and use that to determine overall calories

    Yes. Exactly. You can use the recipe builder too if you're making something with multiple ingredients. Weighing raw is always the most accurate.

    Yes if you use raw ingredients.. Otherwise scan the bar code!

    Anything with a barcode should still be weighed as packages/serving sizes can be up to 20% off

    OP, yes. But if you do have to weigh it cooked, make sure you choose the appropriate entry.

    Yep. Keep in mind they are still tied to manually input data though so be sure to compare them to the package to make sure they are accurate.
