Unsure if knee pain

I sit quite a lot throughout the day, so I started to stretch every 30 minutes I've been sitting down. I get up and go down and hold a squat for about a minute. Ever since I've been doing that, I had this strange sensation in my left leg, right over my knee cap. I'm unsure if it's my knee or quadricep. I've been doubting my positioning and have made a conscious effort on it. I go as if I sit down then bend the knees and hold. I keep balance with my arms out in front and holding my weight on my heels and the balls of my feet. To get up I push through my heels. Is there anything noticably wrong that I may be doing? I don't have this issue when wearing shoes and doing weighted squats. This only happens in the left leg.

To go into a squat with NO WARM isn't recommended. Get up and move around, but don't go directly into exercise.
As for the pain, it's likely quadriceps tendinitis or and could be a result from going into direct exercise with no warmup. Tendinitis lessens as the joint gets warmer.
