If you're weighing it after it's cooked, use a database entry that specifies cooked weight (and, preferably, mentions a method of cooking that matches how your food was cooked). E.g., "Pork, fresh, loin, whole, separable lean and fat, cooked, roasted" or "Chicken, broilers or fryers, light meat, meat and skin, cooked, fried, flour"

If you go to the USDA database and copy the language used there that matches what you're eating, then paste it into the MFP search field, it can help you find a good entry.
