Excuses excuses

I am sorry if you have read my other threads. I have always been one to make a million excuses and get very defensive when someone calls me out on it. I know it's bad. But there are no excuses for my weight gain. I used to blame my parents but now I blame myself. I WILL do this. I CAN do this. And I know once I get into a routine and become used to it I will love it. Especially when I start to lose weight.

I also have been an "excuse machine" in the past. Excuses to not eat right, not exercise and everything in between. This time around my philosophy has been no excuses. As far the exercise goes, when I first started my program, when I woke up in the morning, I would ask myself if I felt like exercising. Truthfully, the answer was never yes and so I just stopped asking and from that my new attitude was born. I don't ask if I feel like exercising, I just do it – no excuses! I had just had to get my head on straight and I have. Before starting this I seriously thought I was too old and too fat to do anything about my situation.
You can do this! You have the right attitude and in my opinion you are on the right track.
I started this endeavor in January 2016 at 378 Lbs. I am now 188.6 which is less than half of my original body weight as I have lost 189.4. I have 74 Lbs left to make my lowest goal and I know that I'll do it.
You have my best wishes for your journey!12 -

There is no need to blame anyone... There is only need to change. Don't look at the negative... Fill yourself with what you want to become... and don't let anything hold you back!1 -
Good first step...make sure you take this is the right direction and keep the momentum going. Don't beat yourself up, but identify the negative behaviors that got you there and identify positive behaviors that will take you where you want to be. Write down 5 of these, scratch off 4 and work on the one. Once this become habit, then repeat this exercise and just keep on going.0

We've all diagnosed ourselves with *kitten* metabolisms, bad genes, sworn our thin friends eat so much more than us and are lucky... well most of us have. If you START, chances are very good you will succeed. Taking some personal accountability is a good thing. Best of luck!1
