fast food is , of course, an uphill battle.
but if you HAD to choose, teh starbucks protein bistro box seems like a decent choice, am I right?
380 calories, lots of "whole" ingredients (apple, grapes, cheese, hard boiled egg). The only really processed looking stuff are the peanut butter and pita bread.
Bread: mini pita (unbleached wheat flour [wheat flour, ascorbic acid, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid], filtered water, raisins [raisins, vegetable oil], organic evaporated cane syrup, flax seeds, multigrain mix [cracked wheat, cracked rye, crushed flax seeds, millet meal, cracked triticale, barley grits, sunflower seeds, rolled oats, durum semolina], sunflower seeds, wheat bran, rolled oats, natural apples, yeast, sunflower oil, sea salt, cultured wheat starch, citric acid, enzymes)
Peanut butter: (dry-roasted peanuts, honey powder [sugar, honey], organic palm fruit oil, sea salt), iodized salt, pepper.)
Total fat- 31% DV. Unfortunately most of it is saturated.
Protein- 13g
Fiber- 20%DV
So overall it looks solid, EXCEPT for the fat. You could really cut down on the fat by getting rid of peanut butter... but at that point, it's sort of a waste of money. (I mean you can probably buy all the ingredients for this box for a LOT less than the sticker price$5 per box)

I think it's food. One should eat it if they are hungry for it and it fits into their caloric number for the day.
There is nothing wrong with saturated fat.0 -
I have one a few times a week. Usually toss out the pita because I don't care for it, but the rest of it is a pretty satisfying on the go breakfast for me. Yesterday was a sad day though as I accidentally dumped a whole container of salt on the egg and hit everything in the box... Breakfast ruined. So I got a breakfast burrito instead...0
