My Fitbit steps are 6500 and I am getting credit for 668 calories which seems really high. Is this real? I would hesitate to eat back any of these credits! Any suggestions or thoughts?

Your Fitbit adjustment isn't just for steps it's a comparison of your Fitbit activity tracked TDEE and what MFP thought based on your activity level.

Until midnight it can increase or even decrease based on how much you move.

Adjustment is Fitbit Burn - MFP estimated burn based on activity level = adjustment

    Detailed Math breakdown
~ Using my own MFP numbers and made up numbers for Fitbits side ~

Lightly Active MFP burn : 1879
    Which breaks down to -
    78.29 calories per hour
    1.3 calories per min

Let's say Fitbit I have burned 1318 as of 7:39 pm. It sends that information to MFP.

MFP then goes okay she has 4 hrs and 21 mins left in her day. So based on her activity level
    4 * 78.29 = 313.16
    21 * 1.3 = 27.3
    1318 + 313.16 + 27.3 = 1658

1658 is what MFP estimates Fitbit will say by midnight based on the tracked burn so far and my activity level selection. The adjustment until midnight will change with each sync and be:

Fitbit estimated total daily burn - MFP activity level burn = adjustment
In this case as of 7:39 pm it would be

    1658 - 1879 = -221 or 0
