There are some foods, I'm learning, that are almost FREE of calories!

Yipppeeee!

One I enjoy, and have been thrilled to discover is PICKLES! ;-P

I'm just wondering... since I'm NEW at this calorie-counting thing and all ... if some of you would share YOUR favorite nearly-no-calorie foods/snacks?

Carrie

Loving the strawberries, celeries, boiled broccoli. apples, pears, oranges, anything with sugar really .lol

i dont want to burst your bubble, but watch out on the sodium content of your pickels.
rinse them out before you eat them, that will help.
    hummmmm pickels

hoo, and i make good soup thats got only 100 cal per bol and its really filling, always got some of that in the fridge !

Mmm eggplant is a good one and makes a good filler in many dishes. Also tofu shirataki noodles 40 cals a bag and so filling. I haven't made it to the store to buy these in almost 2 months.Yikes!Need to get butt back in gear and get back to that store sat or sun

Cabbage is my miracle food, 13 calories for 1 cup. I shred it and put it in EVERYTHING as a filler :) Like if I make a rice dish, I add a whole bunch of cooked shredded cabbage and it really "beefs" up a plate of food :)

    zucchini (courgette)
    tomatoes
air-popped popcorn (I do it it microwave)
lettuce and all kind of green leaves like spinach, rocket etc
ex. yesterday I made a yummy salad with lettuce, rocket, tomatoes, cucumber, a few olives, cooked salmon and yogurt dressing with whatever spices you like mmmmmm
BTW - natural yogurt is a great base for dressings, much lower in cals and healthier than oil

I know it's not the best food (if you can call it a food) in the world, but sometimes Diet Mug Root Beer just hits the spot and gets rid of that sweet craving for me. Zero calories to boot!

But otherwise, roasted sweet potatoes, onions, carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, butternut squash, peppers--they're all so good and sweet when they're roasted. I'm addicted!
