That's my point. Going over (even by 1000 calories) is not going to un-do your hard work if you move on. Now. Understanding the math and physiology of what actually happened (less of a deficit vs "ruined everything") may help someone move on rather than give up. I struggled with the all or nothing mentality in the beginning and trusting this formula was a big hurdle, but here I am -4 years and -80lbs, moving on really does work

My birthday fell on this long weekend so it was multiple days of indulging. Up 3lbs.
But I'm back at it and I'm not worried.
Old me would have given up and just gained all the weight back, but I'm not going to do that.
