Logging broad beans (aka fava beans)

Does anyone know how to determine whether broad beans are mature or immature? I received some in my farm box this week and shelled and weighed them, but am not sure how to log them. The calorie difference between mature and immature in the database is significant, but I can't find much information on how to tell the two apart.

I *believe* immature is when you cook the pod and eat the whole thing like green beans, while mature would be shelled and eating just the seed.0
