Some days harder than others

I have had a steady workout schedule for 3 months now. For some reason today seemed brutal. Does anyone else have these days even if it's the same workout?

Yep, some days ARE harder than others. At work, at play, in love, while working out, some days are just harder than others. AND, at the same time, some days are EASIER than others. Kinda depends on how you look at life.

    It happens.

Absolutely! It's normal. How I handle it depends on many factors but sometimes I give myself a break, cut the workout short and do something relaxing I enjoy. Sometimes I push through it because I've found that those are the times I seem to hit PRs or goals I've been striving for.

    1. Workout recovery cycle doesn't always match workout schedule.
    2. Workouts can be affected by other things in your life.
    3. Overall, maybe a PITA for that day, esp if you were looking forward to a good workout; but in the big picture, no big deal.

It happens... and I usually blame my feeding or activity prior to the workout for it. It might help to write-down your most recent feed (time, menu with amounts) and also look at what activities may have sapped (or aided) your recovery prior to each workout.

With any luck, a few things may show-up in your data (like maybe you need a few available carbs and higher hydration prior to workouts).

While it may be easier to look at the workouts that you wiff/boink/fail; I found it better to get excited about the good/great workouts and replicate that formula as much as possible... Why just avoid the negative? If you'd rather have the best possible workout, find what works best for you and replicate it!

Absolutely. Even on days that "feel" hard, I try to find something to improve, one more rep 2 more lbs, etc.
