The provider of the meal replacement I drink is going out of business.

Deeeep breath.

It's not the end of the world. It just means I have to go back to massive food prep and hauling massive amounts of food back and forth.

Because of my schedule I'm basically not home monday - friday except to sleep and eat all 3 of my meals at work. I have been drinking, to great success, 100% food's low carb blend 3x a day for about 6-8 months.

There are other companies with similar products, but none come close to having the same macros.

I'm pretty bummed. It took all the guess work out of everything, and removed the chore of meal prep that used to not just take all of Sunday, but was a chore to lug into the office and fight for fridge space (veggies are not exactly calorie dense). I got very used to just keeping a few bags of powder in my office.

I know a lot of people get offended by meal replacements (just blend chicken and broccoli hurr hurr), but this really worked well for me and my lifestyle.

I will survive without it. I can go back to standard meal prep. But holy cow am I bummed out. I'm going to order enough to last me through the greater part of 2017... then as we head into winter (the rough part for me b/c I can't exercise outside and get that whole seasonal depression thing with no sunlight) I am going to find myself completely restructuring my mon-fri diet.

It's possible you could kind of make your own to approximate the macros. Protein powder, for the carbs you could find the correct ration of fruit or oats, then chia seeds or nut butter for fat? It won't be something you can take to work dry and just shake in a cup with some water, but a thermos might be easier to fit in the fridge?

I've thought about it, and I still might, b/c mixing things is still easier than trying to cook pounds of chicken and veggies and ziplock them and fight for fridge and freezer space.

The bulk of the ingredients were just flax, whey, chia, rice powder, and a multivitamin powder to hit RDA. (it was more involved than that, but that was the gist of it).

A lot of people drink soylent but I think the macros suck. Not nearly enough protein, and trying to stay at 1500 cals during the day doesn't afford a lot of room for adding scoops of protein powder. Using this provider I was hitting roughly 188g of protein every day on a little less than 1800 calories, which for me, was perfect.

Aside from being curious as to what company it is I agree with kimny72. I am a fan of smoothies/protein shakes as meal replacements and I also prefer that prep over traditional prep so I understand where you are coming from. I just make my own using a variety of ingredients and log it. I prep and freeze in Mason jars then I just time appropriate when I remove them from the freezer so they are ready to drink. For lunch I just bring a frozen one to work and it's ready by 12:30, 1:00.

It's 100% food. I don't know what the policy here is on linking websites (?)

You could probably approximate it fairly well with flavoured protein powder + flax and/or chia powder + some crackers.

That's the old blend. Current blend is 56g protein per 500 calorie serving

The approximation will need a multivitamin powder. There are a few competing providers I might reach out too. Just super bummed because non have the same macros.

You could bring in a cooler to store your food. I really think you could approximate a shake recipe that works for you, though. I always go to Pinterest to look for recipes. Good luck!

I don't know what your goals are whether it's weight loss or maintenance but to me it seems what you're doing is not sustainable. If your goal is weight loss you have to do something that's sustainable because if you don't you're going to put the weight back on.

Part of the weight loss and more importantly maintenance phase is you have to educate yourself about what you eat and its ramifications as far as how it affects you. It's also developing habits that will continue for the rest of your life
