Okay, I'm going to try not to make this too depressing... I am one of the unfortunate people who got a concussion 6 months ago that won't go away. After months of doctor's appointments, nothing but time will heal me. Due to this fiasco I haven't been working out and strength training like I used to because even moderate intensity activities worsen my headache. At one point I had cut out sugar, caffeine and alcohol to see if it would help heal my head. For the most part I'm still not drinking much alcohol (maybe one low abv beer) but since reintroducing sugar I've gone off the deep end. Self-control used to be a strength of mine, but lately it's become one of my biggest weaknesses! I used to joke that I loved distance running because it allowed me to eat the way I wanted, but it's completely true for me. I LOVE food and now that I'm back to logging what I eat it's very revealing that I have been excessively overeating the past six months. So I'm back on MFP and I'm looking for new ways to keep myself motivated with low impact, low intensity exercises (not swimming, I hate swimming laps). If you have advice, or a suggested group, send me a message! My diary is open to friends.

pilates or yoga? both of these can be as intense as you want them to be.. and you can burn calories doing them. Good luck.. I am back at it and hope to get down at least 10 lbs to start.. want to be realistic... best of luck

I follow a channel on YouTube called BohoBeautiful. She has great yoga routines and pilates challenges. I have done a lot of her stuff and noticed a difference in my body. The pains I have had in my back and my runners knee are gone and I have toner abs. Give it a try.
