Tracking Calories

I have a Fitbit Alta and it only picks up aerobic exercises, not strength training. Is there something additional that would be helpful to get to track calories and time sort exercising? Any suggestions?

    You can enter your strength training on your Fitbit App manually. Go to exercises, 'add exercise', pick the activity and put in the duration.
