hi all, im a PT but concentrate in transformations and weight loss, so any help would be much appreciated with my cut - and how to minimize muscle loss.
I am 28, just under 6'6 and 207 lbs 17%body fat. I was nearly 300 lbs when I was a teenager, crash dieted and because of it needed 4 shoulder ops and 18 knee ops. I am getting there and have full ROM and strength in joints. Been bulking over the winter and gained 13lbs in 5 months. im starting an 8 week cut, as want to get down to 12-13% body fat for the summer but as any tall guy would appreciate , I don't want to look like a beanpole.... your opinions if I ended up at 190-195 at the end of the cut?
your thoughts would be much appreciated....

I'm in the same boat. Keep you protein up (supplement with whey if necessary), and drop you calories. Target 1-2#/week weight loss. It's the same as bulking, just going the other way. Mentally prepare yourself to be a little hungier than you're used to, and for the strength/endurance losses you'll experience through the cut, but keep lifting as heavy as possible to minimize losses. If you do cardio, do it after your lifting or on your off days so it doesn't affect your lifts.1

Silly question, but if you're a PT and you specialize in weightloss, shouldn't you have a pretty good grasp on how to do a simple cut.....?1

@TresaAswegan I specialise in transformations, large weight loss concentrating on health goals rather than aesthetics. Its more the point being the height I am that I don't want to feel like I am a bean pole as everyone has a perception that 190 lbs at my height is very skinny.... @xXGearheadXx thank you, that's exactly what im trying to hit, though as I just said, im struggling about feeling to skinny....1
