Cooking light meal plan

has anyone tried it? I need a way to fit in low calorie dinner meals with little planning and a reasonable grocery bill. I like to cook and usually like the recipes in cooking light but sometimes planning my meals for a week just seems daunting. I'm only concerned about dinner.
I have split custody with my kids so half the time I'm cooking for 1 which is a new routine for me. Cooking for the family is easy but when it is just me I often find it difficult to be motivated enough to actually plan. I solved that problem by doing blue apron and home chef but that got a bit pricey. It was perfect because everything was ready for me to cook. No need to run out to the store which is my biggest excuse to just go through a drive through instead. I tried new foods and techniques that made me more willing to try other recipes that i used to avoid due to unfamiliar ingredients. And the portions were large so I got 2 dinners and a lunch out of each meal. Now i want to ease into a more DIY approach that provides tge same benefits.
What I need is a brainless way to always have my dinners planned out for me and a simple cost effective grocery list that allows for a once a week shopping trip, and prep-ahead adaptability
. bonus points if the meals can be easily adapted for single meals and family meals. I'm wondering if this cooking light plan will help with this.
Or perhaps if anyone knows of any free resources that will do this I'd appreciate it.
