Kcal and Calories Burned, is there a difference?

I just downloaded a dancing game for my Xbox that counts calories burned, but at the end of my dancing it has it measured in kcals burned. Do I need to convert these to calories or are they the same thing?

Kcalories are 1000 calories or 1 Calorie. A calorie (note small c) is the amount of energy it takes to heat up water 1 degree. Food is measured in kcalories or Calories (note capital C) which is 1000 of the little c calories1
