Hey there!
Yes, my profile says I'm only taking in 1200 calories a day, but that's to keep me on track instead of overeating. This way, when I go over by 200-300 calories, I don't feel like a failure. It's a personal choice.
Water water water! I'm doing my best to kick soda and coffee, and only drink water. I'm not against diet soda, but I'm just doing my best with water. The least amount I want for water is 40 oz a day. The most I think I'll get up to will be 140 oz a day. I've read that you should drink .5 - 1 oz per pound of body weight.
Why am I losing weight? I have lots of ideas on why, but the only real reason is to be healthier and to start loving myself more. I married my best friend almost 2 years ago and I was fat when we met, and he still loved me enough to marry me. His family has made jokes about my weight that hurt so that sparked my interest. I noticed that I had to buy more clothes because mine stopped fitting. That sparked it... When I got pregnant in 2015, I weighed in at 185... When I gave birth, I weighed 195. That sparked it. A lot has happened over the last couple years that has made me consider dropping the weight.
I joined a gym that hasn't opened yet. I thought it would give me time to drop a few pounds and change my eating habits before I launched into sweating the rest off. Well, I keep getting emails about how this gym still doesn't know what day they will open. I'm thinking about hiring a personal trainer instead. I'd like to drop 15 pounds to just fit into my clothes. Then I'd like to be back to my old self before the babies and weight 130-145 pounds.
I want to run and not feel like I'm dying. I want to lift weights and not stop at 5 reps because I'm too tired. I use to love lifting weights.
I can't wait to get back in the swing of things... But it just feels really slow right now.
If you don't have anything positive to say, please don't reply. I'm sensitive, and I prefer only positive comments.
Thanks!

All great reasons to drop a few pounds and all very positive.
Don't sweat the gym membership, just watching your calories and sticking to your chosen
1200 each day will allow you to drop the extra pounds before they open.
I dislike the exercise part ...until I get going doing it, then I'm glad I did it. So it's strictly
a motivation thing. Start by walking around the block, then add a little run time and before
you know it you're jogging the entire block ( or whatever you pick). A little bit at a time really
adds up and will help you mentally stay enthusiastic.
Wishing you only positive vibrations.
