Even though I know it's not good for me, I love McDonald's. Can anyone suggest what is the best choice for me to get there and not gain weight every time?

As long as you factor it into your daily calories you will not gain weight. That being said, it's definitely not the most nutrient dense source of calories, but to each his own.

Pretty sure they publish all nutritional information on their website. They have it listed at the restaurants as well.

It's all there for you to examine.

Then I suggest you just need to reduce the frequency, so it's more of a irregular treat and not your go-to source for quick daily food.

    Water.

But seriously, a cheese burger makes for a low calorie meal if you don't order fries with it. The fish sandwich works well too, but again without fries.

If you eat it within your calorie goals, you won't gain weight...or at least fat. You may gain water weight from the sodium, but not fat.

The good thing about fast food (as opposed to other restaurants) is that all the nutritional information is readily available online. Here's an interesting side by side comparison of menu items, but you can also just google any restaurant you want to visit and look for the lowest calorie item on the menu.

Maybe an egg mcmuffin or a salad with grilled chicken is the only low cal option... my problem too so I get it ...

OP as everyone else has said the nutritional info is online and as long as it fits in your calories it doesn't automatically make you gain weight.

Having said that, I'm more of a Wendy's girl, but when I find myself at McDs I usually get an Egg McMuffin with an unsweetened latte, or a Happy Meal. And sometimes I get the two cheeseburgers meal with fries and just eat light for the rest of the day :)

    Vanilla cone.
    Oatmeal without sugar.
Oatmeal without sugar trade dried fruit package for second apple package.
Egg McMuffin, no butter, add a side order of round egg, add 5x red onions.
Mcdouble, no seasoning, add an extra beef patty add 5x red onions.
Angus or quarter patty on a side salad.
Mcdouble with a side order of round egg.

Nutritional info is available both online and in their phone app and can be used to cross reference MFP entries....

Wendy's small chili, or small chili on plain baked potato rulez!!!

I have no idea why I would come up with these things

Just avoid fries, pop (regular), cookies, and ice cream. Unless you have calories to spare at the end of an evening. If you're really hungry get a double quarter pound or Big Mac to reduce carbs and the high sugars from their bread.

Eat what you want within your calorie goals. Everything else is just noise unless you have medical issues.

Agree with all the above. Get creative about how to fit it into your day. I usually don't find the fries worth it, but If I really want fries I'll get the kid's meal.

Or you could try this at home:
