Lol you mentioned two of my greatest weaknesses in your post (chocolate and cheesecake). The benefit of MFP is that you can eat everything in moderation and within your calorie goals. To me weekends are kind of off though, and I allow myself to go a little over my daily goals. The key is control and moderation I guess. Even if I go over 500 calories (which could be a slide of cheesecake plus a chocolate) is a victory compared to my 4,000 calories day that were a norm in the past.

    Save cals during the week.
I love my deserts and wine so use to adjust my daily goals to I have spare cals at the weekend.

Get a good desert and split it with a friend or over 2 days. 250-300 cal a serving for me.

    Cheers, h.

I gave in this weekend as well...first time in 48 weekends. I think because I am having oral surgery tomorrow.

I eat a little less than my TDEE on weekdays so I have extra calories for goodies on the weekends. When the weekends come, I budget for whatever my sweet tooth desires and I try to either buy single servings or if making my own, make as few servings as possible so I don't have any tempting treats left in my house come Monday morning. If I buy/make something that does have leftovers on Monday morning, my coworkers are the beneficiaries! That's the rule - nothing tempting in the house between Monday morning and Friday night.

I eat sweets everyday, if I only ate them on weekends I'd probably go nuts.

I am practicing trying to eat smaller portions of my favorite junk foods. I'm eating a half a cookie instead of a whole one. Then when I go back for seconds, it's just one cookie. I log it, even if I go over. Sunday is my worst day, and I try not to go more than a few hundred calories over. I can't bank calories at 1200 a day. Weekends are a constant challenge but, for me, I love to eat some sweet stuff and try to fit it in to my calories during the week.

Buy sugar free jello. 1serving is like 10cal. You can add raspberry if you want to. It will stop your craving.

Once in awhile I just plan to eat cake for dinner. I'm not a half cookie kind of girl.

Otherwise, I'll eat lighter during the day to accommodate a treat or dinner out. Plus I eat sweets every day. Now and Laters for breakfast. I also have a lot of lower calorie options I've come up with over the years.

Ha ha. I have done that before now. A favourite eatery use to do a deep fried Mars Bar with whipped cream. I use to drool over it but couldn't do it justice after dinner. One night it, and white wine, was my dinner. Wonderful.
For some things you just have to.

    Cheers, h.

Yeah in reality I've only done this once. I live in NYC and there is a bakery that just does it for me. I've wanted one of their ridiculous cheesecakes forever. Went ice skating in the park then crammed that puppy in my face. I got a real life sugar high.
