So, how about having some manners and either answering the question or leaving your opinions to yourself rather than high jacking this woman's thread... Cleansing has been around for thousands of years and is used in many cultures for a variety of reasons. I'm a big fan of the master cleanse for rebooting. I've always felt great while doing it and it helps set the stage for clean eating moving forward.
It's called a public forum for a reason. And pseudoscience doesn't fly well around here.
That's because all the BS weights it down enough that it can't get off the ground.11 -

There was once a master cleanse thread some time ago where a poster told his experience of projectile diarrhea in the middle of the night... all over his poor wife.
Sadly it is lost and can't stand as a warning to all who are tempted to try it.15 -
Laxative abuse is such a great idea.....14

I will never understand why unintentional diarrhea is illness, but deliberate diarrhea is somehow good for you.22

Welcome to the Internet. You must be new here.
Plenty of things have been around for thousands of years - including female genital mutilation, UFOs, and the idea that the Earth is flat. Longevity/dissemination is NOT an indicator that something is correct.17 -
Whatever comes around goes around. I was reading up on the history of the Kellogg's brothers today. Read it some time.4

Cleanses mainly clean out your wallet. Your liver and kidneys do a great job of taking care of your body already6

Human sacrifice has been around for thousands of years too, that doesn't make it a good idea.
Answering a question in a public forum sometimes means telling people that something another person wants to sell them isn't necessary or useful.7 -

Well, it IS good for you if it gets your colon squeaky clean so the doctor can see polyps or other abnormalities. Otherwise, no.7 -

Cleanses have been debunked by science over and over again. Master cleanse is a scam.12 -
