You're not leaner, you're just not holding water. If you've actually been in a deficit that long you should have been getting continuously leaner regardless of your macro split.
What is the benefit of looking lean? Long term deficit is not healthy. You've also mentioned competing - how do you intend on doing that with very little muscle? It's a bodybuilding contest....2 -
I understand that I just hold less water when I'm on low carbs. Regardless, I'm much happier with how i look and feel that way.
I actually have more muscle than you may think. Abs are good, strong quads, shoulders etc. but I know that I'm nowhere near fit to compete, which I think I may have said earlier.0 -

Lose a little more body fat (last measurement 20.58%). More muscle definition.0
