24lbs gone since January

I made a decision at the start of the year to get rid of this weight I've been carrying around for 20 years. My main motivator is my family and I couldn't bear the thought of leaving them behind if I died due to a weight related illness. So, with that in mind, I've used MyFitnessPal daily to chart my progress and control what I eat and what exercise I do.
Since then, I've dropped 24lbs in weight as of the last weigh in but the main indicators that I'm losing fat is that it's coming off my waist. At the start of the year, I was on the 2nd hole on my belt. I'm now down to the 5th hole and I've run out of holes to tighten it up further, so I'm going to have to punch a few more holes in it, otherwise my trousers might fall down!!!
Basically, I've controlled what I'm eating (though I don't cut anything out so don't deny myself anything) and I've stepped up the exercise (both cardio AND resistance, as muscle burns more fat). I'm doing planks for 60 seconds each day now and walking a lot during my work day.
My target is to get down to 16st 12lbs by December and then continue to lose more weight in 2018 until I can be classed as a normal weight (at present, I'm still morbidly obese).
I've very happy to provide support to anyone else who is on this sort of journey and would love to here from you.
