    Sweet Emotion

It's in very heavy rotation on my gym ipod.

    It directly follows Iggy Pop.

....... actually, everybody and everything should follow Iggy Pop.

Yes of course I love Sweet Emotion and Dream On, though the original recorded version of Dream On irks me because that's not the way Steve usually sings. Haven't seen that version of Come Together, its awesome. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoy their cover of Love Me Two Times, and Steve singing Undo It with Carrie Underwood is great too. Steve is just an amazing singer.

Dream On. Tyler started writing it when he was only 17 years old. It would seem that a spark of The Divine was clearly coming through when that song found its shape and its instrument through him.

    Totally agree.

When The Lightening Strikes has some of the darkest and hypnotic riffs I've ever heard and it's one of my guilty pleasures. It was written and performed during Tyler's personal and professional unraveling. He passed out cold during this song at a live concert and couldn't be roused. Which was the final catalyst for the band's long breakup. I don't know if they still even perform this song. It's dark stuff, but it rocks.

Why do you feel guilty for enjoying the song? I've never felt guilty about any of the songs i've enjoyed, this includes auto tuned songs by Britney Spears and Paris Hilton lol. I have no shame. If you enjoy it, who cares?

    Angel
    Amazing
    Crazy
    Crying
    Tell Me What It Takes
    Janie's Got a Gun
    Dream On
    Sweet Emotion

... and Rag Doll because I was singing it at school when I was like 6 and the principal called my mom for singing about "hot tramps."

    (I really like Aerosmith)

I like everything they've done. Several years I saw them when they were promoting the "Honking on BoBo" tour. Loved it.

i can tolerate their stuff from permanent vacation through today. that era even has some decent songs.

sad to say, but their best stuff was created in a haze of drugs and booze.

they put on one of the best, tightest shows i've ever seen. saw them with motley a few years ago. and as a motley fanboy, i walked away from that show thinking aerosmith blew them off the stage.

Love all their music! Saw "Nine Lives" tour TWICE and "Just Push Play" tour TWICE. SO many experiences from those shows... in addition to their older stuff. Too much to recount, really.

Did you all watch his interview with Oprah a few years back? It was great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J-cU8Lwnz8

Also I really want to read his book "Does the noise in my head bother you?"

I saw them back in the days of the Tyler Chemical Company.

They were out of their minds wasted on stage..... and loud beyond belief.

What a shame that they were wasted. I am guessing it was not a great show and the singing was bad. I hate it when I am looking forward to a live show and then it doesn't live up to my expectations.

    It was the 70's

    Most musicians were wasted.

I kinda wish I had been alive/old enough to see Aerosmith perform in the 70s and 80s.

I was blessed with the good fortune of driving muscle cars to the concerts of epic rock bands.

The Who, the Eagles, the Doogie Brothers, Steve Miller Band, Ted Nugent, Rush, Aerosmith to name a few.

    * shrug

I think a lot of people think that.

See the movie titled Midnight in Paris..... that's the theme of the film, it's a beautiful film too.

That is a great track, a lot like Zeppelin. They really changed so much as a band...I love their 90's stuff though.
