Hi! I'm new here and I like this app but I need some help. I often lift weights in the morning and this app doesn't calculate the calories that are burned from that. I'm aware its a difficult process but does anyone know of a calorie calculator for weightlifting excercises or even a way to calculate it yourself? Thank you.

It's on here under weight/strength training.

I know that but they (FitnessPal) say they're fairly inaccurate with their calculations and I'm looking for something more accurate than this.

There is no accurate way to calculate weight lifting calories. Lots of websites, HRMs, etc will give you a number--its just not an accurate one.

Pick a number, consistently use it and monitor your weight. If your weight goes the oppposite way to how you want, change that value.

You are seeking accuracy when it's impossible to be accurate.
The MFP "guess", based on your weight and METS, is as good a guess as any.

Compared to food logging accuracy it's of trivial importance.

The cardio numbers are not exact either. Nor are the meal numbers. But we have them.

Strength should have calories burned just like cardio.
