I did my first 5K a few days ago, and I ate back maybe 100 calories that day... but days since, I've been feeling very hungry, much more hungry than usual it's hard to not give in... wondering if I increase my calories to maintenance level for the next 2 days before I give in and binge? I'm still sore, and yes I'm drinking enough water

5k is just 3 miles, only about 300 calories. I wouldn't use that as an excuse to eat more. Stick to your plan. You can do it. Being sore is normal. As soon as you get past it, get out there again!

You may be dehydrated, so try drinking more water.

When I race hard, I can't eat anything for a while. When I do, I make sure it has lots of carbs, to replenish glycogen. But as stated above, you don't need a lot of extra calories after running 3 miles, even if they were hard.
