Is there a way to have my Garmin information (steps) automatically show up in MyFitnessPal?

I have my Gamin linked to MFP, and it does show up automatically. On my phone, it appears at the top of the home screen. As for linking them in the first place, you can do that through the Garmin Connect app. Hope this helps ..0

Do you mean on your wall ? Steps are separate from exercise activity.
On your phone, or web you can see for your own use the number of steps that Garmin has synced but its not available for public view.1 -
I just opened up the Garmin Connect app, on the mobile on the front page is a button to share data with myfitnesspal. Once you put in the required details, then the 2 programs will talk to each other. Calories from steps are included.
The good thing is it works both ways, calorie info from Garmin shows up in MFP and calories eaten shows up in Garmin connect.1 -
still working on it, thanks! Its a problem with my device but customer service has given me some steps to try. WIll be nice to get it working again
