Google fit exercise adjustment - how good is it?

I'm a 230lb guy, I work a desk job so I put that I'm 'mostly sedentary' when setting up my account, and I'd like to lose 1lb a week. MFP has set a daily goal of 2040 calories for me, which seems like a good target. I walk the dogs most evenings, which is usually about a mile in half an hour (they like to stop and sniff things). I'm using Google Fit on my phone to automatically track activities.

Yesterday was a busy day for me, and MFP gave me a 'Google Fit Calorie Adjustment', which said I took 7328 steps (seems reasonable for everything I did), then said it counted as 903 calories exercise. The 903 seems pretty high to me... Yesterday didn't matter, I ate 2118 calories which was almost certainly under my actual exercise. But I'm now wondering about other days where it gives me a 200-300 adjustment, and I decided 'well, I can have a beer then!'

What do y'all think? Does 903 sound like a reasonable adjustment or should I be wary these adjustments in future?
