Macro ratios?

I've already cut my over calories by about 500 a day in order to lose weight.. But I'm really just curious as to what is better to have a lower amount of... fat or carbs? I've heard so many opposing opinions about both.. and I've always been told to cut carbs but fruit and vegetables are obviously the good kind... I just don't really know a good ratio when it comes to macros for fat loss.

    Do what you feel would best benefit you and your lifestyle choices/goals.

    Most seem to like 30% protein, 40% carbs and 30% fat.
