So.. little background info.... 6 months ago I weighed 250 pounds. An event occurred in my life and a decision was made to be healthier. So I started eating right and went to a gym to get help in working out. Well they said ok... there are weight we can do, and cardio... for cardio they recommended treadmill.

I have never been great at running, always seems so hard and my muscles never seemed to last to the end. Then one day something strange happened... They put TV in front of the treadmills. I put it to the Sci-fi channel and set my treadmill to 5.5 MPH and away we went. I was so distracted by the tv I didnt even realize that my normal crush point of 20 minutes had passed me by. Here I was at almost 35 - 40 minutes and had not noticed.

I realized then, that the battle was not in my body, but in my preconceived ideas on my own limitations. My mind was putting up barriers that were not based in experience. Once I realized that my workouts got wonderful, the weight fell off.... I am now running 10KM a day, and am a sleek 205 pounds...
Sometimes you have to train your brain first....

That is so true, this is why so many run/exercise with their music going. I know I can't stand to walk without it. Good job crushing your workout and weight loss goals.
