Any runners out there had or know about pain in the ball of the foot that travels up the second toe? It has been going on for about three weeks now. Not getting worse or better. I ice it after running and take Advil as needed. I've tried inserts with not much help and I just recently got a new pair of shoes. Any thoughts?

Could be a 'spur' , get it checked out by your gp.

Could be plantar fasciitis. I've been seeing a PT for this and bone cyst from long-distance running. Here's a link... https://health.google.com/health/ref/Plantar+fasciitis

I think you need to see your doctor to get a definite diagnosis.

Plantar fascitis or that tendon in your toe. Before you get to your appointment, freeze a water bottle, and roll the bottom of your foot across the frozen bottle. Does it feel better? Plantar fascitis. But still go to the doc.
