I've been debating on whether or not to purchase it.

What do you want it for? For some people the specific features are helpful, for others, they are completely unnecessary. Have a good read of what it actually does before you decide. It's more an unlocking of specific features than a general overall upgrade.

A lot of people seem to join up to it expecting all sorts of things, then complain when it doesn't do something it never said it did in the first place.

I have signed-on for premium for a one month time period to see how I like it.

So far, I like that I can alter the macro and calorie goals each day as I am currently carb-cycling in my last weeks of prep for a figure competition. I'm not sure I will keep it up once my goals and calories/macros are less rigid.

You can pay for one month and just un-check the auto-pay option as a 'low commitment' strategy :)

I tried it for awhile but I did not find the extra features particularly useful so I canceled it. YMMV

It's the emojis, nothing posts after them. Premium won't fix that

As said, check to see if the additional features you want are available with it. For many, the free version is adequate.
