This is the second time since we opened our account there - in Dec. that they have somehow gotten our account attached to someone elses check card. I check my bank account a couple of times a day on line and Wed noticed there had been several charges we didn't make. DH called the bank and they said we will look into it. So with additional fees, plus the checked they returned for nsf because of this actifity - AFTER we notified them of the problem and the additional $40 that was taken out last night - I was home all night and DH was gone, but left his wallet, check book, check card, and ID at home they have $275 of our money tied up that we can't touch and they STILL haven't fixed it. ARRGH. And this weekend my sweet baby girl turns 4 - tomorrow. And we can't use our money. My father-in-law went to the bank with dh - they said will fix by Mon. I am ticked. Of course, if FIL had to have helped. It's hard to say no to a man who is 6'3" and 280 lbs with hands like meat cleavers
ARRGH. With all the other stress I have right now I DON"T NEED THIS CRAP!!!
Thanks for letting me vent!! I'm just so frustrated because we won't get to do much for baby girls b-day and that just makes me want to cry

Would changing banks help? Or has someone stolen your identity, might be good look at your credit report, you can do it free once a year. By the way Happy Birthday to your little angel:flowerforyou: :drinker: :drinker:0

Well, let me address the most important thing first: Happy Birthday Baby girl! (I have a baby girl also, but she's a 14 pound spoiled Pug )
Now on to the financial crisis....
::mad:
Ok, that's about ridiculous MG, and this is the second time you have had an account with them? Sounds like it would be the last time for me. What's their problem? If it isn't fixed by monday like they said, I would give corporate a call. So frustrating.
I feel your pain MG, I'm shaking my fist so hard at them for you *shakes fist :grumble: *
Maybe it will help to have your FIL demonstrate why those hands are described as 'meat cleavers'. :explode:0 -
oh no!!!!
that's horrible!!! I hope they get it sorted out soon and I would look into another bank if I were you hon, what a pain....hugs!
And as for your sweet girl....oh Happy Birthday to her!!! and you know what mom....I'm sure you'll make her day awesome w/ lots of love and special treats....maybe some fun baking w/ mom...or something she really loves...I know how you feel though, and I'm mad for you too!!!! hang in there girl!!!
thinking of ya!
hugs,

Thanks guys!! Yes - we will be switching banks  As much as I hate that process - it looks pretty good right now!!
Not the second time we've had an account with them - the second time in 5 months they've made a huge error with our account!! Last time they fixed it pretty quick but this time they are dragging their feet and I am NOT HAPPY!! Their bad though because the estate settlement we are getting will be going into another bank  They won't get the benefit of the 5 figure sum we'll be getting later this month. HA - so there!
Thanks for all the b-day wishes for my sweetie!! She will enjoy the day no matter what!!
You guys rock!!0 -
That really sucks, and I hope you can get it sorted out. I'd want to kick someone's a*s, that's for sure:explode:
And as for your daughter's birthday party, I'm sure you will find a way to make it special. Happy birthday to her!:flowerforyou:0 -
Geesh. Well, first of all, happy b-day to your baby! Mine will be 6 in a few weeks:noway: .......Soooooooooooo sorry about your account. I'm with auntkaren....could it be identity theft? Maybe it's not the bank at all, but it sounds like you need new cards, acct numbers, etc. Could you do a little something for your baby this weekend, but then really celebrate when everything gets worked out? :flowerforyou:0

No, it's not identity theft. Not aggressive enough :noway: I've always said that if anyone stole my identity, they'd give it right back  And as slow as these people are moving, if it was, I'd have absolutely nothing!! We've been checking it out, and there is no other indication of identity theft. Plus, this bank, I'm finding out, is notorious around here for stupid mistakes. One of my co-workers had an issue with them a couple of months ago - they lost over $1,000. Tried to say it was his fault - now they've found it was their fault and can seem to get the money to him - UPS lost the check now :noway:
Anyhow - thanks for all your supportive comments. It helped - just makes me so mad that they are dragging their feet to fix this problem. If someone happens to empty the account over the weekend, while they haven't gotten it fixed and we've been in contact with them for 3 days about it, someone will be in court!! I know they are obligated to act quicker than that in this kind of a problem. In fact, if 1 more charge appears that is not legit - they may end out in court anyway!
Gotta go make the birthday cake now  Probably won't be back until Monday - have a great weekend all!!0
