I'm using polar HR with chest strap for more of an accurate HRM. My main focus is to find out my calories burned during Aerobic excersizes. Ive read reviews where people complained about the Fitbit not having an accurate heart rate monitor feature because of the wrist placement.. Ive also tried to find a compatible HRM chest strap for FITbit and could not find one. If you want more of an overall picture of your health for the day I'd say go with Fitbit. It tracks your steps, calorie burn, HRM, sleep pattern all on your wrist. The newer Polar fitness watches have the same features plus you can sync it with the chest strap for a more accurate HRM read. So I vote Polar brand because you can get the best of both.1
