Short Support- Setting Healthy Goals for 5"0 and under

I wanted to start a topic because I know being short requires you to approach weight loss from a unique angle, in then your calorie requirements and ideal, healthy weight (see http://people.maths.ox.ac.uk/trefethen/bmi_calc.html for new bmi calculator) is usually MUCH lower than anything taller people expect. For example, at 5'0" and 102 pounds, living a sedentary lifestyle, I require only ~1558 calories a day to maintain my weight. But as low as 102 may seem, someone of my height, or shorter, is still mid-range in the healthy bmi, and having a bit of pudge, is motivated to move to a lower, although still healthy, number.

This means that those of use who are 5'0 or shorter, who want to be at our ideal weight, don't really fit in well in other forums.

So I wanted to start a safe discussion for those of us who are on the shorter range of things to share our goals, fitness strategies, and experiences on being the healthiest people we can.

Please feel free to add me :)
