Which stall?

You walk into a public bathroom. There are 4 stalls open and empty. The closest one walking in is stall number 1, then 2, etc. Which stall do you use?

This was actually an experiment to see which stall is frequented the most and which ones have the most bacteria.

This is always such a brain *kitten*. I think one study showed stall #1 was the least used so then wouldn't people start using that one making it soon the most used?

I never use 4 because it's almost always a handicapped stall, I typically go for 2 just because any time anyone has been in the bathroom when I go in (like at work) they're always in 3 so it's at least most used by them.

I read that somewhere too, but didn't even think about the rest of your sentence - excellent point.

I typically don't choose #1 because I find it is often dirty. How women manage to pee all over the seat is disturbing, I guess they are half standing? Thinking about it, I guess it is better to know that the seat is covered in urine rather then them cleaning it up (wiping it all over) the seat tho.

I look for the cleanest obviously, and usually pick #3 if they all are clean, don't know why.

There are factors like cleanliness, how bad do I have to pee, are there people in other stalls next to it.
Probably one of the middle free stalls or the first one.

I'll take door #3 Wayne, for the big deal of the day.
    -Or-
    Use #1 for a number 1 :)
    Use #2 for a number 2 :D
    Use #3 for a number 3 :#
And there better not be any #4. That would just be too gross. :s

The cleanest bathrooms seem to be the ones just off the lobby of a nice hotel.

Public libraries tend to have clean bathrooms too.

I was once driving between phoenix and San Diego at night and I needed a lil nature break. There was an exit that led to pretty much nowhere in the desert. I pull over and turn off my headlights and start watering a cactus.

Out of nowhere, the border patrol.

" excuse me sir, but what are you doin.... oh, sorry; have a good night."

"No worries, thanks for being out here."

Experts theorize that people tend to skip the first stall in favor of stalls farther back to have a little more privacy. But because the first stall is used least often, it contains the lowest bacteria levels. Instead of skipping the first stall, choose it to help avoid possible infections.

The one that does't have piss on the seat, has toilet paper, and toilet seat liners, like mentioned above by @OutOfUserName

used to have to clean the toilets at an old job in a public place. women's bathrooms were always ten times as foul as the guys.
like the guy bathrooms, i'd find strange things, but not necessarily horrific- like one time i found a guy's belt in the toilet. like he took the belt off, stuck it in the toilet and left it hanging there. nothing wrong with the belt i could see either. i still find myself wondering about that one from time to time.

the women's bathrooms though, they were always absolutely disgusting with some of the worst things a person could imagine. like jackson pollock only with more body fluids.

Women's public bathrooms are gross. A lot of us squat over the toilet, don't actually sit. There are some that can't do this right, which is why there is usually piss on the toilet seat.

I read that study, too. So I started using the first stall. Then I found out that most of my coworkers had read it, as well, and everyone was using the first stall. So now I've started using the third stall. The lids are always up in the morning from the overnight cleaning. I've noticed that it's usually the last one still up, so I'm assuming (and hoping) that it's now the least used.

I feel guilty taking the handicap one if there are others open. As long as the toilet paper holder doesn't dig into my leg (if I get the rare chance to sit), then I'm good.

After leg days the bus driver toilet seat is much easy to drop down to than the lower ones.

the cleanest one with a toilet paper and disposable seat sheets

    Bingo
    Empty coffee cup?

No, that gets reused. The empty tea jug is the way to go. It also holds more volume.

I typically avoid any bathroom movements in public because I know how gross other women are in regards to public restrooms, but if I had no choice and really needed to go (and assuming all the bathrooms looked equally clean and contained toilet paper/seat covers), I'd probably choose three or four because in my experience, less people choose those stalls and prefer the ones toward the front. I don't do it because of privacy.. I do it because I'd prefer to use something that appeared cleaner/less used.

First stall, it's always the least used I think and therefore the cleanest.

This was the answer after the experiment. So from now on, first stall for me.
