Breakfast Ideas (non-egg)

Although an egg white omelette full of veggies is a great start to the day, I'm over then. Does anyone have any ideas for a easy, low cal/high protein breakfast? Smoothies aren't really an option - I'm an early riser and walls are thin.

Thanks!!

I like eating instant grit packs since they're only 100 calories each. I also hardboil two eggs and just eat the egg whites for a low calories breakfast. I don't like eating too much in the morning but that typically holds me off until lunch.

Proats (oatmeal with protein powder). I use Salted Caramel Quest protein powder and some berries. Yum!

I do the old fashioned Oatmeal. 1/4 cup oats, 1/2 cup almond milk, pinch of salt, 3 minutes in microwave. Add tablespoon chia seeds, 1/3 cup of walnuts, 1/3 cup fresh strawberries, 1/4 cup blueberries and a few black berries. Not low cal but it holds me until my 9:00 snack of almonds. Full disclosure: I run six miles at 5:00 AM so I need the calories.

PB2 in Greek yogurt for a cold breakfast or in oatmeal for a hot one. Had the oatmeal just this morning! (My diary is linked to the post in my sigline if you would like to copy it.)

I do a low cal version....crockpot recipe x 4 on Sunday evening (not a morning person) and store in the fridge.

    1/2 c. old fashioned oats
    1/2 c. 2% milk
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 t. cinnamon & vanilla extract
    2 t. Splenda

I slice 1/2 banana on top & reheat in the microwave 2 minutes. Warm creamy banana oatmeal.

I like Yoplait Greek 100 yogurts. They come in a ton of different flavors, are only 100 calories and pack about 14-15grams of protein :)
