If this is filling for you, it's a great way to get micronutrients & fiber, but weight loss is just calories in vs. calories out. "Special" foods don't help you lose weight.3

That does not sound tasty at all. :sick:4

I'll add tomato, capsicum, celery, grated Beetroot, avocado, add some fish meat or eggs, eat the salad, dressed in lemon juice. Drink the water.
Do I get the same benefit?1 -

Tbh I'm kinda curious to try this out and find out how it tastes. But if OP can provide some insight that'd be dope0

I make a similar one, but will add 1/2 red beet, an inch of ginger and a few chunks of frozen pineapple. It's tasty.1

Green smoothies are great! People say they don't help you loose weight because it's just calories in and out but the important thing is that YOU feel great when you drink them. After I have my smoothie I have energy and I feel like I eat healthier on days that I have them. Not all calories are equal!2

Who said it was sarcasm? I would genuinely like to know why the OP thinks whizzing some food (with calories) is in any way beneficial to weight loss, or why it's more beneficial in any way to just eating the same food, or any other combination of similar nutrient dense foods0 -
I have a smoothie every morning. I feel good & am not starving by lunch. I use 1/2 C each of fruit medly, low fat greek yogurt, 1 C unsweetened almond milk, 1 C spinach, 1 scoop protein powder, a few carrots & celery stalk, &some kale0

I do some frozen fruit, almond milk, raw almonds or flax seeds, home made yogurt and lots of kale. I also add spirulina and chlorella. I do this for breakfast. Its about 300 calories give or take. Of course, I exercise 5x a week and watch what I eat for other meals to stay under my goal calories for the day. I would say it helped me lose weight. This is a good way to get in all nutrients without sitting down eating all of this separately. I love kale but I don't just stuff my face with the same amounts I put in my shakes. Keep up the good work OP.0

Who says the OP doesn't have insight in to why it's beneficial? I don't pretend or think to know everything, and presume nothing - the more I learn the less I realise I know, so I'd actually like to know if there's a reason why this is touted as a weight loss green smoothie. If there's no reason I can go back to happily eating my 1kg of salad....1 -

a calorie is a unit of energy so they are in basic terms all equal.the nutrition from one thing to another is going to differ which is the only difference. If it gives you energy and you fell like you eat healthier on those days thats great.that works for YOU, doesnt mean its going to be the same for anyone else or that they will feel the same way.smoothies dont have any magical weight loss properties. It does all boil down to CICO0 -
The lettuce would wreck that for me. I do 1 cup spinach, 1/2 frozen banana, 2oz unsweet vanilla almond milk, 1/2 scoop vanilla whey and ice/water. It's my favorite part of the day!0
